Save your friend from your creepy neighbor

Secret Neighbor is a multiplayer horror game developed by Hologryph Dynamic Pixels and published by tinyBuild. Set in the Hello Neighbor universe, this game will have you and other players try to sneak into your creepy neighbor’s house. Up to six players can play the game and try to get into the locked basement door. The catch, however, is that one of the players is the neighbor in disguise.

Identify the neighbor

The events of the game take place between Act 1 and Act 2 of the original Hello Neighbor game. However, unlike the popular action game, players can take on the role of the neighbor this time. As a neighbor, you can choose from several classes and use everything in your power to prevent intruders. At first, you will be in disguise, and it is up to you to gain the trust of the other player. The best players in the game are those who convince the group that someone else is the neighbor, so you need to be very convincing. To lure them away and make them go missing, you can use gadgets, such as bear traps, secret control room, smoke bombs, and more.

If you wish to play as the intruder, on the other hand, you will have the choice to pick your class. Each class will have unique abilities that can be very helpful in your mission. You can be the Bagger, who will have extra storage. Brave, meanwhile, will have the ability to give everyone a speed boost. You can also be the Detective, who knows where the keys are, and more. With these abilities, the group of intruders will need to scavenge the house for basement keys and valuable loots. All these in addition to keeping an eye out for the neighbor in disguise.

Compared to the original Hello Neighbor game, Secret Neighbor is a bit of an upgrade. The general atmosphere is good, with its not too dark yet moody map. The music also adds suspense as you explore the basement. However, the actual gameplay has a few issues. For one, it is very easy to find who the neighbor is.  You can simply throw an item on the person who you think is the neighbor and find out of your suspicions is true. There is also no randomization in the game, meaning you don’t have to remember the doors you have tried before.

Great game to play with friends

If you are looking for a fun game for your game night, Secret Neighbor is a good option. The game is very engaging and comes with amazing graphics. There are a few issues here and there—such as the occasional bugs that cause your game to freeze. But, all in all, this game will provide you with hours of enjoyment with your friends.
